7 Church Of God In Book Of Revelation

Revelation 1: 3"Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is near."Here, stated that blessed are those who: read, listen to and obey what is in it.

Why in Revelation 1: 3 says blessed are those who read, listen and obey what is contained in it? Due to their fulfillment time is near. What is written in the Book of Revelation will soon be fulfilled / happening. In this verse, used the word blessed (makarioi) .... This word is the same word used by Jesus in Matthew 5 about 10 greeting happy spoken when He preached on the hill. Blessed are the poor in spirit, blessed are the meek, blessed are the peacemakers, blessed are those who mourn, and there are still others. This makarioi word in Revelation 1: 3 is translated with the word blessed. In addition, this makarioi word can be translated to the lucky and blessed. Thus, it can be said that the blessed, lucky, and blessed are those who read, listen and obey what is written in this book.2 book contains many of the most famous is the prophecy of Daniel and Revelation. Prophecies contained in these books contain mostly on the situation in the End Times, that the times ahead will Jesus back for a second time into this world. End of this age, will be marked with events, phenomena, or certain disaster will happen.

This book arises because of the inspiration of God to John, one of the disciples of Jesus were later banished to the island of Patmos, after he was tortured before with fried in hot oil but it does nothing. By the time John was exiled on the island of Patmos, God revealed to him visions of what will soon happen in the end times.

If we look at the structure of the book of Revelation, we can see that most of the Book of Revelation uses the number 7. In the early revelation of God church said about 7, then 7 seals (on any seal of the stamp 1 up to seven there a specific event that happened), hereinafter 7 trumpets (each trumpet there are also certain catastrophe that occurred). However, at this time we will discuss about the 7th church of God.Before we discuss the 7th church of God, why Revelation mostly uses the number seven? In the Bible, the number seven described the "fulfillment" or "perfection". The number seven can be defined as the "number fulfillment". The number seven in Hebrew (Jewish) is Syibat (masculine) and Sheba (the feminine form). From this word appears the word sabbath. Sabbath means the seventh day. Likewise, in the neighborhood of the Jews, the number seven has an important place in their dating system. Jews know the daily Sabbath, the weekly Sabbath and annual Sabbaths. The first, the daily Sabbath, is the daily Sabbath is the seventh day. It is reminiscent of The Law 4th, which contains the command of God to sanctify the Sabbath. After six days of human work, then on the seventh day man should quit his job and worship to God. This is to commemorate that six days God created the world and on the seventh day God rested. Second, the weekly Sabbath is a weekly Sabbath is the seventh week. The nation of Israel will recognize the day of Pentecost. In the OT (Old Testament), Pentecost is celebrated to give thanks for the harvest. This feast is celebrated after the seventh week of the feast of Easter (the Israelites' exodus from Egypt). In the New Testament (New Testament) Pentecost got a new meaning that day descent of the Holy Spirit. The third, an annual Sabbath, is the annual Sabbath is the seventh year. This reminds us of God's command to the Israelites to rest the land every seventh year (Sabbath ground). Most of the relics of the Jews is based on the law. We can see that the number 7 is an important figure within the early church and the Bible.

Well we will soon discuss the seven Churches of God in Revelation that describes the 7th church of God in the End Times.

1. The Church of Ephesus (The Loveless Church) Rev. 2: 2-5

This leaves the church in Ephesus first love. Love at first it further flared increasingly dim. In paragraph 3 is explained that this congregation patient and suffer for His name. This church also tirelessly. So what heckled God of this church, the church is then left his early to God. In the book of Acts of the Apostles described the way of life of the early church early. They always gather for worship and they always support other church deficiencies. They are eager to help the mission to proclaim the Gospel. Therefore, God rebuked the church to repent and do again what the original did.

2. Church of Smyrna (The Persecuted Church) Rev. 2: 8-10
            The church in Smyrna have experienced hardship and suffering. God called on the congregation to endure faithful until death because of suffering, hardship and temptations that will hit the church.

3. Church of Pergamum (The compromising Church) Rev. 2: 14-16
            This church adhering to the name of Jesus and not deny his faith in Christ. However, the objections to this church is the presence of some people from the church who hold the teaching of Balaam (Balaam )was a false prophet hired to curse the people of Israel Numbers 22-24), mislead other church members, that takes sacrificed to idols and do fornication. Likewise, do you have people who hold to the teaching Nicolaitans. Nicholas was a Christian heresy, misleading congregation. Although they did not deny their faith in Christ, they compromise with sin.

4. Church of Thyatira (The Corrupt Church) Rev. 2: 19-20

This church has love, faith and perseverance but the reproach of God is their error. They are misled by false teachers who teach some of them do astray. It refers to spiritual adultery. As Our Lord church is the bride of Christ, betrothed to Christ. When the congregation turned to the other person, it is called the spiritual adultery because the Lord's church is the bride while Christ is the bridegroom. God reminded the congregation is to survive and hold what is in them until the Lord comes.

 5. Church of Sardis (The Dead Church) Rev. 3: 1-3
            This church was dead. Spiritual dead. Work is not perfect. God rebuked the church to repentance and life guard.

6 Church of Philadelphia (The Faithful Church) Rev. 3: 10-11
            This church is a church that is loyal and obedient. This congregation are encouraged to stay afloat.

7. Church of Laodicea (The Lukewarm Church) Rev. 3: 15-16

This church is lukewarm. Not hot, not cold. Half and half. Half-loyal, half believe. God rebuked this church to repent.Of the seven churches, we can see their advantages and disadvantages. There are ditegor, there were warned and there were still loyal.

Church of Ephesus = congregation who lost first love

Smyrna = the persecuted church

Pergamum = congregation compromise with sin

Thyatira = congregation who live in error

Church of Sardis = congregation spiritually dead

The Philadelphians = churches loyal

Laodiceans = congregation lukewarm
The Book of Revelation contains the prophecies that will happen. Likewise, all seven churches in the book of this Whayu also depicts the Lord's church / church of God which is at the end of this age. Then the question is that we as the Church of God belongs to the class of what church? Are we like the church of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia or Laodicea? Let us own that though this.

According to one of the famous evangelist, Billy Graham, he explained that the picture of 7 churches in Revelation contains three principal teaching, namely:1. The call to love God as before, it is addressed to the Ephesians and Laodicea.2. Calls for bernar life, it is intended to Pergamum, Thyatira and Sardis.3. A call to persevere, it is intended to Smyrna and Philadelphia.Let us as God's people to do 3 calls into our lives. Amen ...
